Advantage+ Financing is a relationship-driven small business lender providing fast, flexible equipment financing solutions nationwide since 1992. We specialize in loans and leases between $10,000 and $250,000, serving a wide range of industries including retail, construction, transportation, and restaurants.
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Credit Analyst or Chief Credit Officer to lead our credit operations and strategy. This executive will oversee credit policy, underwriting, risk management, and help scale our lending capabilities by improving automation and data-driven decision-making—while maintaining our strong human-first credit culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all credit and underwriting functions for small-ticket loans and equipment leases ($10,000–$250,000+).
- Supervise, mentor, and train a growing team of credit analysts and underwriters.
- Set and maintain credit authorities for analysts and underwriters.
- Review, structure, and approve complex and high-exposure transactions; serve as final authority for exceptions outside of standard guidelines.
- Update current Ideal Customer profiles and revise on semi-annual or quarterly basis
- Design and implement scalable credit scoring models and automated underwriting processes.
- Set standards for credit and financial requirements for loan requests over $100,000
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams to ensure fast turnaround and excellent customer experience.
- Continuously evaluate portfolio performance; manage delinquency and loss metrics.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and prepare for annual audits.
- Serve as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team to guide company growth strategy and risk tolerance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of senior-level commercial credit and underwriting experience in equipment finance or small business lending.
- Background with bank or independent lender focused on $10K–$250K loan/lease range.
- Deep understanding of credit risk, financial statement analysis, and collateral evaluation.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to mentor junior underwriters.
- Familiarity with UCC filings, small business credit scoring models, and secured lending practices.
- Strong decision-making skills with a balance of analytical rigor and business judgment.
- Experience working with loan origination systems and credit automation tools is a plus.
Base Salary Range:
- $110,000 – $135,000 depending on experience and qualifications
- Additional annual performance bonus potential of 10–30%
